When you are on a mission to lose weight, it’s important to pace yourself. The proper way to pace a diet and lifestyle change so that the weight stays off is to set a goal of losing a minimum of one pound per week. There are many ways you can work to lose a pound per week. Today I wanted to give you a guide for you to lose a pound per week so that you can be successful with your weight loss goals.

Your guide to losing one pound per week

The Ultimate Guide to Losing One Pound Per Week

Ditch Feeling Bad

Your first step to being successful with your weight loss goal is to stop feeling bad when you slip up. Everyone has a slip up during their process of trying to lose a pound per week. There’s nothing wrong with you for eating something you shouldn’t have. Accept that you made a mistake. You fell off the bandwagon and get back on track with your goal. It is okay.

Personalize Your Plan

While you may know that you want to lose a pound per week, it’s not always easy to figure out how you’re going to do this. Simple food changes like scrambled eggs and cheese with scrambled egg whites or exchanging frozen yogurt with ground nuts can make a huge difference in your weight over time. Use what works best for you and write down your personalized weight loss plan.

Use a Reward

Maybe you have an old dress or pair of jeans that you want to fit into again. Keep that clothing item hung somewhere for you to see every day. This will inspire you to continue with your mission to lose a pound per week. Knowing that you’re working towards a reward of fitting into an outfit that you haven’t worn in years will help keep you motivated.

Fill up on Good Stuff

An easy way to cut out those calories yet still curb hunger is to fill up on foods like salads with minimal dressing on them, watermelon, whole cantaloupes or pink grapefruits. When you fill your tummy up on stuff that doesn’t carry a large calorie count, you won’t have to work so hard on the diet and lifestyle changes. You’ll feel full without added calories.

Develop an Exercise Plan

If you truly want to lose a pound per week then you can develop an exercise plan that suits that mission. Doing something like alternating sprinting and walking for 20 minutes, doing 35 minutes of power yoga or hitting a punching bag for 30 minutes are all great exercises to burn those calories and achieve your weight loss goal of one pound per week.

Sign up for a Weight Loss Program

There are many weight loss programs on the market these days. Review each option for a weight loss program, figure out what this will cost and if you can sneak that into your budget. When you sign up for a weight loss program that works for you, you’ll also gain a large community to support your efforts.

Losing a pound of weight per week is equivalent to two sticks of butter. The best process to lose a pound per week is to cut out 3500 calories from your diet. You can cut the calories through both diet changes and exercise plans. The list I shared today should you give you some ideas to work with. I wish you much success in your mission to lose a pound per week and achieve your goal of weight loss.

I need to make some goals and sign up for a program with some friends. I think that would help keep me motivated. A lb a week would be amazing to lose!
