How to Make Hot, Spiced Tea (and Gift It Like You’re Fancy)

Forget the store-bought tins of mystery tea dust. This year, give the gift of homemade hot, spiced tea—because nothing says “I care” like a mug full of cozy goodness. Bonus: it’s cheap, easy, and makes you look so thoughtful!

My sweet sister in law made this and brought it to everyone at Thanksgiving! We’ve already dug into ours. It’s your turn to make it for your friends. Thanks Bev for sharing this with me!

Spiced Tea Mix Instructions

  • 1 cup unsweet instant tea
  • 1 ¾ cups lemonade mix (like Country Time)
  • 1 container Tang mix
  • 3 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp cloves
  • To Brew: Add 2–3 teaspoons of mix to a mug of hot water. Stir, sip, and enjoy!

🔥 How to Make It

  1. Mix it up: Toss all the ingredients into a big bowl and stir like you’re auditioning for a Hallmark movie montage.
  2. Jar it: Scoop the blend into mason jars, tins, or whatever cute container you found at the dollar store.
  3. Brew it: To enjoy, steep 2-3 teaspoons of the mix in hot water for 5–7 minutes.

🎁 How to Gift It

  • Dress it up: Tie a ribbon around the jar, slap on a printable label (yes, I can make you one), and boom—instant Pinterest vibes.
  • Add extras: Pair with a thrifted teacup, a honey stick, or a cinnamon stirrer.
  • Include instructions: Print a cute recipe card that says “Steep, sip, repeat.” Because not everyone is born knowing how tea works.

💡 Why It’s the Perfect Gift

  • Budget-friendly: You can make a dozen jars for the price of one fancy tea tin.
  • Customizable: Swap spices, add dried fruit, or make a caffeine-free version.
  • Thoughtful AF: It looks like you spent hours crafting when really you just dumped spices in a jar.

✨ Final Sip

Hot, spiced tea is basically a hug in a mug. Whether you’re gifting it to teachers, neighbors, or that one relative who already has everything, it’s guaranteed to warm hearts (and hands). Plus, you’ll look like the holiday hero who thought ahead—without actually breaking a sweat.
