I’m always looking for a yummy recipe that works as a great side dish. When my hubby made these honey roasted carrots and put them in the air fryer they were so good I knew I had to make them again and share them with you. Find this delicious side dish recipe for Honey Roasted Carrots in the air fryer below.
Jump to RecipeWe tend to eat the same old side dishes over and over. We have green beans, salad, baked potato, rice, broccoli, and so on. I felt the need to mix things up. The roasted flavor of the carrot along with the honey enhances the sweetness in this yummy side dish recipe. Using your air fryer is just another way to make it faster, too. We love our air fryer for so much more than just french fries. We use it for warming up pizza, making biscuits, cooking chicken nuggets for the kids and so much more. When we used it for our honey roasted carrots recipe it was just so, so good. It really brought out the sweet flavor of the carrots which was a yummy addition to our chicken skewers and pasta salad we had that night.
Here’s how to make our honey roasted carrots in the air fryer side dish recipe.
Honey Roasted Carrots in the air fryer
Equipment
- 1 air fryer
- 1 peeler
- 1 knife
Ingredients
- 4 whole carrots cut in 1 inch lengths in half
- 3/4 tbsp olive oil coat the carrots
- 1 tbsp honey drizzled
- 1 tsp salt sprinkled
- 1/4 tsp pepper ground
Instructions
- Peel your carrots and cut off the ends. Then cut them in 1/2 and chunk them in 1 inch chunks. In a mixing bowl add carrots, oil, and spices. Mix around with your hands and get them good and coated. Add to air fryer (I always use a paper liner with our air fryer). Air fry at 390 for 12-13 minutes or until tender. Then add as your side dish and enjoy!
Let’s look at some other side dishes you can make tonight! Here’s some that I have made previously.
- Super easy loaded smashed potatoes
- Instant Pot Green Bean Casserole
- Instant Pot Macaroni and Cheese
- Cuban Black Beans
- Texas Bean Salsa
- Broccoli Bacon Salad (my favorite side dish)
My kids and hubby use my air fryer so much. I, obviously, am not as good at using it. We had a different air fryer but it died very quickly. So, I’m not quite as good at using this one as I was our other one that wasn’t a basket. LOL Ignore that in my video of me making my air fryer carrots below. Haha
