You Will Need:
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 bottle BBQ sauce of your choice
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 box Texas toast (or your favorite garlic bread)
- sliced mozzarella cheese
Instructions for making my BBQ Chicken Garlic Toast Recipe:
Step 1: In your crock pot combine your chicken, seasonings of choice, and BBQ sauce of your choice. Let cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours, or until the internal temp of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.
Step 2: Once your chicken is cooked all the way through give it a good shred. I use my hand mixer right inside of my crock pot, it’s literally the easiest way I have found to shred chicken!
Step 3: After you have shredded your chicken go ahead and preheat your oven and cook your garlic bread according to the package instructions. Don’t turn off your oven just yet!
Step 4: Once your garlic bread is cooked go ahead and pull it out of the oven and use the back of a spoon to create little dips in the center of each piece of garlic bread. Use that same spoon to spoon a bit of your chicken right in the dips you just made. Top with mozzarella cheese.
Step 5: Stick your toast back in the oven until your cheese gets nice and melted. Now let’s eat!
And there you have it! BBQ Chicken Garlic Toast! I told you it was going to be an easy recipe. This is for sure a favorite among the kiddos and it’s a great dinner for a busy weeknight! You can serve it along with some veggies and potatoes, or heck even with a bag of chips and call it a day, ha! I hope your family loves it as much as mine does!
