Ya’ll already know that I’m all about an easy recipe and this BBQ Chicken Garlic Toast Recipe couldn’t get much easier. Most of it’s done right in your crock pot! It’s so easy to make and tastes delicious. My kids love it  and I love that it only requires 1 cooking sheet, my crock pot, and about 5 minutes of prep time. Bonus, it’s also portable and can be eaten 1 handed if you are on the go somewhere. Let’s check it out!

BBQ Chicken Garlic Toast Recipe

You Will Need:

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 bottle BBQ sauce of your choice
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 box Texas toast (or your favorite garlic bread)
  • sliced mozzarella cheese

Instructions for making my BBQ Chicken Garlic Toast Recipe:

Step 1: In your crock pot combine your chicken, seasonings of choice, and BBQ sauce of your choice. Let cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours, or until the internal temp of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.

Step 2: Once your chicken is cooked all the way through give it a good shred. I use my hand mixer right inside of my crock pot, it’s literally the easiest way I have found to shred chicken!

Step 3: After you have shredded your chicken go ahead and preheat your oven and cook your garlic bread according to the package instructions. Don’t turn off your oven just yet!

Step 4: Once your garlic bread is cooked go ahead and pull it out of the oven and use the back of a spoon to create little dips in the center of each piece of garlic bread. Use that same spoon to spoon a bit of your chicken right in the dips you just made. Top with mozzarella cheese.

Step 5: Stick your toast back in the oven until your cheese gets nice and melted. Now let’s eat!

And there you have it! BBQ Chicken Garlic Toast! I told you it was going to be an easy recipe. This is for sure a favorite among the kiddos and it’s a great dinner for a busy weeknight! You can serve it along with some veggies and potatoes, or heck even with a bag of chips and call it a day, ha! I hope your family loves it as much as mine does!
