The leaves are finally starting to fall around my little slice of Tennessee and you know what that means right? Spooky season is almost upon us! It’s time to start decorating the house, checking out what new horror movies are dropping, and planning Halloween costumes! I always love planning what we are going to wear on Halloween and helping the kids with their costume choices has always been my favorite part! While I was cruising the internet looking for homemade Halloween costumes for kids I just knew I had to share some of my favorites with you all! Like sure, you can head to the Halloween store and buy one off the rack, but getting to make them yourself is SO fun! It’s an activity all in itself, and it is for sure cheaper. So without further hesitation, here are some of my favorite homemade Halloween costumes for kids that I found! I hope you enjoy them and are inspired to try one (or a few!) for yourself.
Easy and Fun Homemade Halloween Costumes for Kids
1. Homemade Spider Costume– This little costume is So cute and easy to make! Bonus points for being something that is comfy and will keep your kiddo warm if you live somewhere where it tends to be on the colder side when Halloween happens!
2. No Sew Cow Costume for Kids– Another super easy costume that will keep the kids warm and is sure to get a few laughs is this no sew cow costume! I bet the kids could help make this one too for sure.
3. Alien Abduction Costume– ok this one cracked me up! If you have a kid that is into all things space and aliens this costume is perfect for them! It also looks decently easy to make but is sure to be a hit on Halloween night.
4. DIY Lego Piece Costume– I don’t know about your kids, but all of my kids LOVE them a good Lego set, so this Lego costume is sure to be a fan favorite.
5. DIY No Sew Tornado Costume– This costume is so cool and unique! Perfect for any kids who are into weather. It can also be personalized in so many different ways. What would get caught up in your kids tornado costume?
6. Homemade Cupcake Costume– Can you believe that this adorable cupcake costume is made using pool noodles!? What a great idea and great way to reuse some worn out summer pool noodles! A win-win.
7. Homemade Operation Game Costume– This was one of my favorite games when I was a kid so I had a good laugh when I saw this one come across my screen. What a cool concept right!?
8. No Sew Weather Man Costume– Another weather related costume that made me smile. You can totally use some clothes you already have and add some fun updates and suddenly you are a weather man reporting live from a hurricane!
9. Homemade Popcorn Box Costume– Who doesn’t love a good snack related costume? This costume is not only adorable but it’s easy to make and can be customized in your kiddo’s favorite color.
10. DIY Nerf Bullet Halloween Costume– I don’t know about ya’ll, but if your kids are anything like mine, you have been shot with one of these babies at least once. This costume idea made me laugh out loud.
11. DIY Octopus Costume– If you have a kiddo who loves all things under the sea than they are going to love this adorable DIY octopus costume! What color octopus would they choose?
12. No Sew DIY Starbucks Cup Costume– Now this is one of my favorites out of all of them. I love me some Starbucks, and confession, so do my kids! So I knew this would be a hit with the whole family. And you could even customize the colors to go along with your favorite drink from their menu!
13. Easy DIY Classic Spooky Ghost Costume– If you are looking to throw it back old school and make a classic Halloween costume you can never go wrong with a ghost! This costume is easy to make and is sure to bring out that spooky feeling for Halloween.
14. DIY Potted Flowers Costume– How ADORABLE is this costume? So perfect for the little ones. You can even have them pick out the flowers to go in their pot!
15. Quick and Easy No Sew Cheeseburger Costume– This costume is so funny and cute! And I love that you can put it together with NO sewing skills!
