Summer is in full swing here and I am just looking for ways to make dinner quickly, and anything that I don’t have to turn my oven on to make (is it just me, or is having to turn on your oven anytime in the summer just awful!? haha). Sandwiches are one of my favorite meals any time of year, but especially in the summer. Something you can eat one handed while relaxing in your backyard with an ice cold sweet tea in the other hand, perfection! This Chopped Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich is one of my absolute favorites! The chicken is cooked in the air fryer, and I make bacon in the microwave, so no need to turn the oven on! It comes together supe quickly, and because everything is chopped, you get a little bit of every flavor in every bite you take. You can also add any veggies/cheese/toppings that YOU like, so it’s super customizable. A win-win for all. Let’s check out our Chopped Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich recipe shall we?
Chopped Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich Recipe
You Will Need:
- 1 bag breaded chicken strips (I used the Tyson Air Fryer chicken strips and they were perfect! SO crispy!)
- Chopped Romain Lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 strips cooked bacon
- Ranch dressing (use as much as your heart desires!)
- Sub Rolls
- Optional: We always use a little hot sauce for a kick of spice
- Optional: Now this one might be controversial, but we add some crushed cool ranch Doritos on our sandwiches
Instructions for my Chopped Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwiches:
Step 1: First you will want to cook your chicken according to package instructions. You could use breaded or non breaded chicken for this recipe, whichever you prefer!
Step 2: Once your chicken is cooked, move it on over to your cutting board and chop it into small, bite size pieces, and cover it in ranch. As much or as little as you want! There is no wrong answer.
Step 3: Grab your romaine lettuce, and cooked bacon, finely chop both and throw it on top of your chicken, and then add your shredded cheddar cheese.
Step 4: Now it’s time to mix it all up, you want to chop and toss until everything is bite sized and well combined. During this step, you can also add a little hot sauce and crushed up chips if you want! We always use Cool Ranch Doritos, but you can use whatever chips you want (or none if you don’t). It adds a really nice crunch to your sandwich!
Step 5: Now it’s time to assemble your sandwich. We always toast our sub rolls before we make them, but you can serve your buns however you like! Once you have your sub roll as you want it, all you need to do is spoon your mixture right in the middle of it. That’s it! Just scoop and go!
