I know what you are thinking, snickers in a salad? Well, yes and no. The word “salad” is used very loosely in this recipe. I promise there is no lettuce or veggies involved. Only sweet stuff for this dessert. This Snicker Salad recipe is one I have had since I was child, but I found out recently that a lot of people had never heard of it! I just had to make a batch to share the recipe with my readers that might not have had it before. It’s perfect for a hot summer day, as it is severed chilled. It’s light and refreshing and perfectly sweet. I have seen some variations in the recipe as far as what apples to use, and you can use whatever apples you want, but I prefer Granny Smith apples as the tartness of them balances out the sweetness of the candy bar. This recipe is takes just a few minutes to make, and is great to bring to pool parties, or to enjoy on a hot summer evening. Let’s check out how to make it!

Easy Summer Dessert Recipe: Snicker Salad

You Will Need:

  • 4 Granny Smith Apples (or whichever apples you like best!)
  • 6 Full Size Snicker Bars
  • Block of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 jar marshmallow fluff
  • 1 container cool whip

Instructions for making Snicker Salad Recipe:

Step 1: First you will want to grab a big bowl and add in your cream cheese, cool whip, and marshmallow fluff. Mix and fold to combine well. You will want to make sure it is smooth and mixed all the way for best taste and consistency.

Step 2: Now it’s time to get to chopping! You will want to wash and cut your apples. You are looking to get bite sized pieces out of your slices. I used 4 medium size apples for this recipe. You may need more or less depending on how big your apples are.

Step 3: After your apples are cut, go ahead and add them into your cream mixture. Now it’s time to cut up your snicker bars. Like the apples, you want to cut your snickers pieces into bite size chunks, add them in with your cream mixture and apples.

Step 4: Last step! Now that you have everything in your bowl, give it a good mix, and chill in your fridge for  a few hours. Once it’s nice and firm it’s ready to eat!

How easy is that!? Just a few minutes of prep work and a few hours in the fridge you will have a delicious dessert that the whole party (or just family) will enjoy! It will keep in the fridge, if there even is any leftovers, for about 4 days. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do!
