When a new movie comes out there are a few questions I usually ask myself.
-
- Is all the funny stuff in the trailers?
- Is it a good family film all can enjoy?
- Is it too campy, crude or silly for our family?
I can say with 100% certainty that:
-
-
- all the funny stuff isn’t just in the trailers.
- It was a good family film all can enjoy. My 16 year old really liked this movie.
- It wasn’t too campy, crude, or silly.

We, my husband included, all enjoyed this flick. It was fun, heart warming and an enjoyable way to spend around 2 hours. I was surprised my husband wanted to see this movie. But he said he did and he actually laughed out loud a lot during the film. My daughter was kind of uncertain about going and yet she really enjoyed the movie as well. I mean it did help that there was some eye candy in it for her… her words not mine. 🙂 I thought Kaitlyn Dever (who I love in Last Man Standing) did a great job in this film playing the daughter of Clooney and Roberts. I greatly enjoyed Maxime Bouitter as the fiancée. My daughter did too. ;P But the one who stole show was actually Lucas Bravo (Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris) as Georgia’s younger boyfriend, Paul. He was unexpectedly charming, funny and so sweet! Of course, Julia and George did an amazing job. We just expect that of them at this time in their lives!
The key for me is always would I watch this movie again and the answer is a resounding yes. I enjoyed it enough that I would watch it again. I give this film a 4 out of 5 stars!
Do you have plans to go see this movie at the theaters? What are you waiting for? It’s out on October 21! So go! Oh and stay through the credits…there are some awesome outtakes at the end. I love when they do this.
