The Easiest Air Fryer Shrimp Recipe Ever!

If there are two things I love in my kitchen it’s seafood, and my air fryer. Why I haven’t thought to combine them before I will never know! I guess I always thought of my air fryer as a tool for when I wanted to fry something breaded, boy have I been missing out! It all started when I forgot to thaw out some chicken for my big salad recipe for that nights dinner. I got to thinking of what other protein I could use and then BAM, it hit me! Everyone in my house loves shrimp and I knew I had a bag of frozen shrimp in the freezer. Like most of the country we are having a heat snap and I really didn’t want to turn on my oven if I didn’t have to, so I knew I had to bust out the air fryer and see what I could come up with. That’s when it happened, the easiest air fryer shrimp recipe ever. Seriously y’all….I finished this in less than 10 minutes. I will never cook shrimp another way! It was so easy and quick and that little crispy texture on the shrimp was absolutely perfect. Let’s check it out…

The beauty of my air fryer shrimp recipe is that you can switch the spices I use out for any spices that you like! You can hit them with some spice, an Italian flair to throw them over noodles, or even just a little lemon juice and garlic! Personally I’m a suck for Old Bay seasoning on all of my seafood so that’s the direction I went, but the choice really is yours!

Here is what you will need for The Easiest Air Fryer Shrimp Recipe Ever:

  • Shrimp! Now you can use frozen cooked, frozen raw, or fresh raw. The only thing that will change is your cooking time!
  • Olive Oil spray
  • Old Bay Seasoning (about a tbsp)
  • Garlic Powder (about a tsp)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Yep, that’s really all you need! I told you this was going to be an easy recipe didn’t I!?

Here is how I make the easiest air fryer shrimp ever recipe:

Step 1: Set your air fryer temperature to 400F and gather your ingredients.

Step 2: Pour your shrimp into your frying basket and spritz with your olive oil.

Step 3: Coat your shrimp with your chosen spices well

Step 4: Now it’s time to get frying! If you are working with raw frozen shrimp you will want to set your timer for 6 minutes, frozen cooked shrimp goes for 3, and fresh for 4.

Step 5: After your initial cooking time take your basket out and give your shrimp a good toss and shake, and then cook them again for the same time as your first round. This will ensure an even cook on all of your shrimp.

Step 6: Take your delicious air fryer shrimp out of your basket and they are ready to go!

You can use this air fryer shrimp in so many different ways! You can serve them over rice, in a taco, tossed in pasta, or thrown on top of a salad. The possibilities are endless really. My favorite way is over a salad, they are so light and refreshing!

How would you eat your air fryer shrimp? Let me know in the comments below!
