Nashville is becoming quite the Little Hollywood here lately. My requests to go to red carpets and interviews is happening more and more in my inbox for my little town. It’s always a shock. But Tennessee is a great place to live and to grow your family. So who wouldn’t want to come here! When I was invited to spend time interviewing Rose Reid and Brian Baugh for the red carpet premiere of Finding You (a movie I wanted to see anyway) I couldn’t say no!

Check out my interview with Rose Reid
I invited my sister in love and away we went to have a fun night out. Now you should know that red carpets are not easy for introverts like me who would rather be at home…all day every day. But other people give me courage so away we went. Then when we show up there’s only 4 of us on the red carpet doing interviews and I was the only female and they asked me to be first. Well, luckily I’m a professional and I had prepared my questions ahead of time or I really would have been scrambling!

You can see my interviews here on my instagram: First up the beautiful and classic Rose Reid. Please forgive me holding my phone and trying to interview at the same time. Next time I will make sure my plus one helps by videoing!

And now you’re probably wondering what about the movie? What was it like? So let’s delve into my movie review of Finding You.
Movie Review for Finding You
The movie has a good base for a story line. Finley wants to get into the prestigious music school in NYC. Things happen and she ends up taking a semester abroad to “find herself”. Patrick Bergin (who scared me to death in Sleeping with the Enemy) plays a lovable drunk who brings Finley into her own by helping her find her heart in her music. It was a bit hallmarkish at times but it had much more soul than a hallmark movie. I loved the storyline they go into with Vanessa Redgrave and what happened in her life as an old lady at the nursing home. This brought so much more depth to the movie. The storyline between her and Jedidiah Goodacre was light and fun for the most part. It kept the film going. I enjoyed their banter and learning to get to know each other. This story gets a solid four out of five stars from me. It was a pleasant way to spend two hours and the fact that I didn’t cry was a bonus. I’m notorious in my family for crying at movies. It’s the worst! This was a more light hearted story with a purpose! Now when can you see it and where? Especially in our Nashville area! See below!
- Playdates scheduled to show the film starting Friday, today, 5/14 in Nashville area are: Regal Opry Mills 20, Regal Green Hills 16, AMC Thoroughbred 20, Clarksville Stadium 16, Governor’s Square 10 Clarksville, Highland 12 Cookeville, NCG Gallatin Cinemas 10, Streets of Indian Lake Stadium 16, Murfreesboro 16. So make sure you go out and see this film.
FINDING YOU
In theaters nationwide May 14, 2021
FINDING YOU is an inspirational romantic dramedy full of heart and humor about finding the strength to be true to oneself. After an ill-fated audition at a prestigious New York music conservatory, violinist Finley Sinclair (Rose Reid) travels to an Irish coastal village to begin her semester studying abroad. At the B&B run by her host family, she encounters gregarious and persistent heartthrob movie star Beckett Rush (Jedidiah Goodacre), who is there to film another installment of his medieval fantasy-adventure franchise. As romance sparks between the unlikely pair, Beckett ignites a journey of discovery for Finley that transforms her heart, her music, and her outlook on life. In turn, Finley emboldens Beckett to reach beyond his teen-idol image and pursue his true passion. But when forces surrounding Beckett’s stardom threaten to crush their dreams, Finley must decide what she is willing to risk for love.
