5 Heathy habits to adopt now

As you become an adult your mind takes a mental shift. You start doing things because they’re good for you not because you have too. There’s so many good habits that you can adopt to help you feel better as we age. As I am reaching my 50’s next year here’s some things I’m doing to help me age gracefully and be more healthy as well.

Special thanks to Tespo for sponsoring this conversation! All opinions are my own.

5 Heathy habits to adopt now

Start taking your liquid vitamins daily. If you’re looking for a good source I have actually found a great one. Did you know there is a great new supplement/vitamin company that takes your much needed vitamins and turns them into a yummy morning drink? It’s called Tespo and let me tell you about them!

Here’s a quick video I did showing off how technologically advanced they are!

You download the Tespo app and the set up your unit and you are ready to go. Press that green button to get yourself ready for your liquid vitamin drink! I went for the personalized pod. You can see it here:

The first thing I did was head over to the personalized questions so that I could get my vitamin pods. Once you have answered all questions they send your vitamins to the house and the Tespo just adds water to it for you to take them with.  Mine tasted like citrus and went down really smooth. I love how easy to take they are. This is a great first change to make if you’re looking to be healthier. They even have one if you have had bariatric surgery! What a great tool.

5 Ways to get healthier today

Other ways to get healthier

The second thing you can work on to adopt a healthier life is to focus on drinking more water and less sugary drinks. This is the one area I need to focus on the most. I am the worst about wanting an iced coffee or a Dr. Pepper. I need to just ditch the sodas and coffees and drink more water to allow my body to be the best it can be.

Working out is another great way to improve health.

Making sure you get your steps in or do your workout will only benefit you. It will set the tone for how your day goes as well as giving you a mood boost once that workout is in. My mood is so much better when I have gotten my workout in. Whether you’re going to the gym or working out doing yoga or a video at home. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you show up and do it. I try to do a workout video or a neighborhood walk during the week to get my steps in.

Add more fruits and vegetables to your table. Take away the processed foods and make sure you include the grapes, salad or zucchini as a refreshing snack or meal.

Cutting back on meat is another great way to get healthier and make our planet healthier. I try for at least 2 meat free meals a day. This way I can still enjoy my meat occasionally and yet make healthier choices for my body too!

What ways have you found to make sure you are getting healthier as you age? Leave me a comment and let me know! Before you go follow me on facebook, instagram, twitter and pinterest.
