When bloggers go missing

Cue dramatic music…

Maybe you’ve wondered where my daily or weekly posts went?   Maybe you’ve not even noticed but I haven’t been on here much in the last month. Here’s the truth. I’m tired. I am now teaching 4th grade ELA and Social Studies and I love it but there’s not much time or desire for much else. The blogging world has been turned upside down for most bloggers in the last 18 months. We went from making a decent income to barely scraping by. And that’s okay. I get it. Trends change and people go different routes. I chose to get a job as soon as I noticed I wasn’t getting as many paid opps. I also went back to school last year while I worked full time and took 3 classes. I made it through those as well.  Then I was laid off at that previous office job that I had loved. When that happened I knew it was time for me to go back into the classroom. That’s one of the reasons I had been taking classes while working full time.  So here I am back in the classroom doing what I was probably always meant to do.

Do I miss blogging? Yes, I do. But even if I could go back to only blogging I don’t think I would at this point in my life. It’s time for me to focus on family and on getting our retirement ready. Will I still be doing both? Yes, I just desperately needed that break and enjoyed taking it. Now I’m back and ready to share fun recipes, cool articles and great movie trailers again!

Life is forever changing and you have to roll with the changes. That’s what I did. My fourth grade classes are so fun that I really don’t even look at it as work most days. It’s just a blessing to be teaching these little minds! How have you been? Thank you for sticking around, making recipes with me, crafts and having fun! Don’t forget to follow me on pinterest, facebook and twitter!

So happy for you, friend. It is challenging to work and blog, you know I know. However, I’m glad you’re sticking around, I need you, friend! 🙂
