How to make Grinch Jello Shots for Christmas

Need a little something to get you through the holidays with the family. Why not try our favorite Grinch Jell-o Shots! The recipe is super easy and fun to make for friends and family too.

How to make Grinch Jell-o shots Recipe and Ingredients

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Peppermint Schnapps
1/2 cup Spiced Rum
1 box Cherry Jello packet ( only add water )
1 box Lime Jell-o ( only add water )
Holiday cake sprinkles
Green and white Whipped Cream
2 cups Heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 drop green gel food coloring
1 piping bag fitted with a small star tip
Directions:
Cherry Jello:
Boil your boxed jello with one cup of water.
Stir to combine.
When the Jello is dissolved pour in a cup of “cold” Peppermint Schnapps
Stir to combine.
Set to the side at room temp.

Lime Jello:
Boil your boxed jello with one cup of water.
Stir to combine.
When the Jello is dissolved pour in a cup of “cold” Spiced Rum.
Stir to combine.
Set to the side at room temp.
Fill your shot glasses 1/4 of the way full of red jello to your and place it to the side.
Fill all 12 shot glasses.
Wait for the red jello to harden (about 30-45 mins).
Add 1 tbsp. of green jello on top of the red jello
Wait for the jello to harden (about 20-35 mins).
Repeat steps another time.
Fill your glass with the remaining red jello and let it harden.
 
Whip cream topping:
Using a large bowl and hand mixer on medium to high speed, beat together the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form
Split the whipped cream into two bowls
Add a few drops of green gel food coloring and mix until combined
Using a spatula, scoop some green whipped cream into one side of the piping bag
Scoop the non colored whipped cream into the other side of the piping bag
Pipe whipped cream onto the top of the jello shots
Garnish with cake sprinkles.

    I pinned this delicious Christmas drink for next year for both Christmas and New Year Drinks!
    This is a drink ? I can actually enjoy!! Two of my favorite flavors are chocolate and/or mint. The drink is pretty and and goes with the Christmas ? theme.
