I partnered with Valvoline Instant Oil Change for this project. Opinions here are all my own.
Change your Blades Change a Life with VIOC
Did you know that as many as one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer? It’s a frightening statistic as a woman! As a child it was a known fact that my grandmother had dealt with and survived breast cancer. She got it when she was about my age. She was an amazingly strong and resilient woman. She was someone to look up to and admire for sure. Her breast cancer never once slowed her down. As far as I know she never felt less than for choosing to have one of her breasts removed. She did it to live and to let others know if she survived then others could as well. Breast cancer is not something to play with. It’s a scary diagnosis and I’m proud to have partnered with VIOC (Valvoline Instant Oil Change) to bring you her story and share the good that they are doing during Breast Cancer Awareness month.

What a neat campaign to support a good cause. How creative and fun. Sadly, breast cancer has affected so many of us and it’s nice to find ways to spread the word about it.

What a great way to raise funds for this cause. So many women are affected each and every year. We need to find a cure.

My grandmother, mother and 2 aunts dealt with and survived breast cancer, so it’s important to me to support it however I can. I get checked regularly because of my family history with it.

I have watched a couple of friends go through treatment in the past few years. It’s heartbreaking how prevalent it is becoming!

I got my first mammogram this year. I learned a lot because I, like many women, believed a lot of things that just weren’t true about breast exams.
Ty @ TravelTasTily
I had my first scare five years ago and stayed very hopeful. Luckily, everything was okay but that experience taught me how important it is to get checked regular, even without signs.
Cindy Gordon
So sad how many people this gets a hold of. I pray for those who have been affected.
