There’s nothing tastier than some mac and cheese made from scratch! What’s even better is instant pot mac and cheese. This delicious recipe cooks faster than Grandma’s homestyle mac and cheese and tastes just as good. This is the perfect side dish to serve at a potluck BBQ this summer or during a family gathering. It’s even perfect for those busy nights that you have to feed the kids but have no idea what to make. Grab the ingredients, get yourself an Instant Pot and whip up some homemade Instant Pot mac and cheese tonight!

How to make Instant Pot Mac and Cheese

Instant Pot Macaroni and Cheese Ingredients:

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp mustard powder
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz shredded Colby jack cheese

Directions:

Add macaroni, water, butter, and mustard powder, to your instant pot.

Give a quick stir so that all the ingredients are combined.

Close lid and seal valve on your Instant Pot.

Set to high pressure, 4 minutes in manual mode.

When it’s done, do a quick release.

Set the Instant Pot in warm mode.

My whole family likes mac and cheese! This sounds so much better than the boxed kind, and like it would cook just as easily!
