This conversation is in partnership with Reese’s Pinworms Medicine! All opinions are my own.

It’s embarrassing right? None of your friends want to talk about it. But we need to talk about it. It happens. You can get pinworms from simply playing outside in the dirt. It’s not about your family being dirty. They’re not.  It’s so easy to get pinworms. It’s even easier to treat! We have found an affordable over the counter treatment for pinworms. You’re going to be so glad you read this article!

How to treat for pinworms

The first thing we did when we found out we had them in the family was we treated the whole family. It’s so easy to treat and make sure you don’t spread it around. We ran out to the store and purchased Reese’s Pinworm Medicine. I found it at my local Walmart, but it’s at Walgreens and Amazon too. Reese’s Pinworm Medicine costs less than $15 which is a savings of up to 95% when compared with pricy prescription treatments.

Save money with OTC treatment for pinworms

The OTC (over-the-counter) medicine contains Pyrantel Pamoate, which is the only anthelmintic drug that has been approved for OTC sales by the Food and Drug Administration. That means it contains a powerful punch.

Why should you go with Reese’s Pinworm Medicine?

They’ve been treating pinworms since 1986. It’s a known brand you can trust. It’s doctor recommended. It has a single dose effectiveness and it’s available in 1 oz and 2 oz family pack size. So they offer you some great options.

They also have what I consider an innovative invention Reese’s Pinworm Itch Relief Wipes. Their new itch relief wipes contain 1% pramoxine hydrochloride. These wipes can be used in conjunction with Reese’s Pinworm Medicine. You start the medicine and the itch relief wipes give you itch relief while the medicine is taking effect.  By using the wipes it helps to keep the contact with the highly contagious pinworms to a minimum. If you’re dealing with pinworms don’t feel bad. Just get the right treatment and get everyone treated fast and conveniently. This is one of those things no one talks about and yet we all should. It’s a simple childhood problem that is easily solved using Reese’s products.

You know what, I was embarrassed last week when I discovered my six year old had lice and it transferred to myself and my nine year old. The whole family had to do lice treatments and its mortifying, but the more I read about it, the more I realized it wasn’t because we were unclean, I mean I shower daily and at least wash my hair every other day, but lice don’t leave your hair when you wash it. They actually cement themselves to your hair follicles and you can’t get them out without a nit comb, anyway, just like pinworms, its one of those things that come with a lot of myths and misconceptions. I’m glad pinworms are so easy to treat.
