How to make a Mother’s Day Flower Garden Kit

Mother’s Day is just around the corner. As you begin to embark on the journey of trying to make something for that special mom in your life on Mother’s Day, I wanted to share a beautiful homemade gift idea for Mother’s Day. How to make a Mother’s Day Flower Garden Kit is a gift that will keep giving. Start these flower seeds, make the beautiful gift bag using the gift tag included in my tutorial below and watch as that special mom smiles as she receives this handmade gift.

Mother’s Day Flower Garden Kit

Materials:

Mother's Day Flower Garden Kit

  • Seed starting trays or small pots
  • 4 Flower seed packets
  • Potting soil
  • Small cellophane gift bag
  • Paper gift bag
  • Gardening gloves
  • Ribbon
  • Hole punch
  • Scissors
  • Printed Flower Garden kit label
  • Printed Flower Garden gift tag

Instructions:

Punch a hole in one end of the printed flower garden gift tag.

Mother's Day Flower Garden Kit

Using ribbon, tie the 4 flower seed packets together, with the gift tag on the top.

Fill a small cellophane gift bag with enough potting soil to fill your seed starting trays or small pots, and tie it closed with some ribbon.

Roll the garden gloves up, and secure them closed with ribbon.

Cut out the flower garden kit label.

Stick the label on the front of your paper gift bag, near the top and centered.

When you are ready to gift your flower garden kit, place all of the included items into the labeled gift bag, and top with some colorful tissue paper if you like.
