With Mother’s Day just around the corner, you may be wondering what to buy that lovely woman in your life. The awesome thing about mothers is that they don’t really need to have a whole lot this Mother’s Day. Often times what Mom’s want is something unique and special that says you appreciate them. Today I wanted to share a few fun Mother’s Day gift ideas that will work for any mom out there in the world. The reason I love these ideas so much is because you don’t have to spend a ton of money showing Mom you care, these special ideas will get the point across just as well (if not better!) than an expensive gift. They really come from the heart!

I Owe You Coupons

This can be a fun project to make with your whole family, well except Mom that is. Grab some paper, markers or crayons and create some “I Owe You” coupons that you can give mom this Mother’s Day. Each of these “I Owe You” cards will have something special on it that you’ll do for your Mom. The coupons can be as simple as “I owe you 1 night free of dish duty” or “I owe you 1 full week of not having to cook dinner”. The options are endless. Surely you can come up with some clever ideas on your own. You know best what Mom would love the most!

Homemade Bird Feeder

There are many tutorials online for creating a homemade bird feeder. Surf the internet, perhaps Pinterest will be a great resource, for homemade bird feeder ideas. Grab the necessary tools and equipment and start building a homemade bird feeder for that special Mom in your life this Mother’s Day. Don’t forget to purchase some bird seed to give with this homemade bird feeder so your Mom can easily start feeding the birds in her yard. Also a good tip is to find out what types of birds she really like and research what the best food is that type of bird to ensure her yard is filled with the little cuties!

Have a family member or friend get Mom out of the house as you prepare this special meal. This is a wonderful way to surprise that woman in your life and show your appreciation for all of her hard work raising the kids and keeping the household under control.
