This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Review Wire Media for BlindSpotz.

Have you noticed that you have drafty windows or doors? Can you stand by them on cold days and just feel the air coming through? Do you want to know where the other areas are that have them too? I have a company that can help! Watch the clip and let’s see how we can keep the cold out and the heat in your house.

You place these stickers around the house. I put them on the side of my windows, by my front and back door and then just submitted them to the company. Here’s how easy it was to do.

First: Open your packet of BlindSpotz
blindspotz

I warmed them up by rubbing my hands across them and then immediately stuck them on my walls by my doors and windows like below. You can see the one below is all gray and that is because my hands had been rubbing them. You need to make sure to do this on a 32* or less day.

gray and just put up

Then 48 hours later they should have changed colors. Like the one below.

Follow the easy steps to place BlindSpotz™ in vulnerable areas of your home. 1) The temperature in your home is recorded when the color bar is activated. 2) As more colors appear, the bigger the cold issue you have. 3) When you see 50˚ F or 55˚ F on your BlindSpotz™ sensor, you have a cold problem that needs to be fixed.

You can get your BlindSpotz here. Then once you’ve used them you just go to the BlindSpotz site and submit your pictures to them too. It’s just that easy. Want to win a package of your own? Why not enter the giveaway!

Now here’s the 4 tips to keep your heat in and your cold air out.

During the winter I always keep a thick towel or a blanket in front of my front and my back door. This keeps the cold air from coming in or your heat from escaping. It is most definitely a money savings.

Install the seals that go behind your outlet covers. This keeps the outlet sealed tight and helps keep that air from leaking out. This is one of the simplest things to do but will help you out a lot in the long run. You can get them at any home improvement store and they are very inexpensive.

Have your crawlspace inspected to see if your vents below the house have come loose. We had an animal get in one of my friends crawlspace and they tore up the ventilation tubes that ran the heat. So all this heat was just blowing under the house. No good!

Put the plastic they sell at the home improvement stores over your windows and seal them with a hair dryer. We have done this before and it always works great. Keeps that cold air outside where it belongs and makes the house warm and toasty. What other tips do you have for keeping the cold out and the heat in?

I need to get a few of these. I recently priced out a draft test for the house, and it was astronomical. This is a much better option.

I’ve heard about these! We live in an older house, so these would come in handy around our house.

My kids room is over the garage and it is always freezing in the winter. I would love to try these to see if it is the walls or the floor that is causing the cold drafts. What a great idea this product is!

The blind spots sound like such a great idea to try and find colder spots around the room. I like your idea of putting big towels around doors I’m going to have to try that as well thank you.

We live in an old house. Trying to keep the cold out and the heat in is always a challenge. We use a lot of those plastic window covering kits each year. I need to get some BlindSpotz so I can see where else we need to be proactive. Thanks!

I live in Upstate NY, and our winters are brutal. It would be nice to be able to save on our heating bills with a little help from these. What a cool concept!

These are a smart idea. I could definitely use some here this winter. My one room is colder than the others. Not sure why. I wonder if it could be a window issue.

We have an old type of farmhouse type house so we have cold areas. These are a great idea and sound like they are so easy to use.

I guess I’m lucky in that my house is still pretty new and is pretty energy efficient so there aren’t any cold spots that I have found. My sister need these though, her house is drafty!!

We just moved into an older home and I definitely notice cold spots. I will have to pick up some BlindSpotz and stick them around. It is a great way to see where the cold spots are.

I think windows & doors are a cause for leaking air because they are made to be open.
