How to Have a New Year’s Eve Party on a Budget

Throwing a party on New Year’s Eve can be stressful, money wise. You have a ton of people to feed and no money to do it with. Have no fear because throwing a party on a budget is easy, especially when you use these tips.

Head to Dollar Tree

You can easily throw a New Year’s Eve party on a budget when you head to the Dollar Tree. I
am amazed every time I enter that store. The secret to staying on budget is to give yourself a
limit. Even though everything is $1, it’s still super easy to over spend. However, any first stop
for a party on a budget should be done at the Dollar Tree.

Ask other people to bring food

If you’re hosting the party, everyone else should help bring food. Ask every couple, person, or
family member to bring a dish. It doesn’t need to be fancy or expensive, but when everyone
pitches in, it makes it more affordable for you.

Keep things simple

Yes, it’s fun when there is a lot going on at a New Year’s Eve party, but this doesn’t have to be
you. If your friends want a big show, then your house isn’t the place for it. Let them know it’s
going to be a low-key event, but it will be a lot of fun. Play card games, watch movies, and get excited about the ball dropping. You can also turn up the music and have a ball with friends, itjust doesn’t need to be extravagant and cost a lot of money.

Make the decorations yourself

Have you thought about saving money with your party by doing some things yourself? Instead of buying vegetable and fruit trays, make them yourself. Instead of buying decorations, make some! By doing things yourself, you can ensure you’re doing them the way you want them done. Plus, it’s always fun to do things yourself, saving money is a PLUS.

Now, having a New Year’s Eve party on a budget, doesn’t sound that bad does it? Make it fun
and make it memorable. Go to the Dollar Tree or opt to do things yourself. Remember that you don’t HAVE to do everything yourself, asking for help is okay!
