This post is in partnership with Mean Green Products. All opinions are honest and my own.

If you’re like me you know that once it gets close to Christmas then it’s time to start planning the holiday clean up. My clean up starts whenever I begin to take down my tree. It’s at this time that I begin to look around my house and see the dirty baseboards, the dirty windows and so much more. Here’s a list of how I clean up after the holidays.

How I clean up after the holidays.

Once I begin taking down my tree I see all the things that haven’t been cleaned in a while. I then make a list and begin to tackle those items. Here’s my lists of things that I need to get to cleaning after the holidays.

The things I found to clean were:

The hearth, not only did I have to sweep it, I needed to wipe it down. I used the Mean Green Orange Champ for this job. It works wonders.

cleaning list ideas to get cleaned before a gathering

The windows because of 3 dogs and 3 kids it was a given they needed cleaning. Puppy noses everywhere on my windows.

The baseboards always seem to need a good wipe down.

I had to dust my pictures and my tabletops.

I cleaned everything off my counter and wiped it down and the backsplash in the kitchen

how to clean the pet area

The dog or pet area had to be scrubbed down and allowed to dry.

I went ahead and washed my sheets and blankets.

I washed my curtains in the living room and the kitchen.

I vacuumed the couch and washed the cushion covers.

how to get your grout clean

The grout on the kitchen floor needed cleaning in the worst way possible. This is a big job so only start this one if you have the time. I had to pull out the big guns for this one. I used the Mean Green Super Strength for this one.

I cleaned the space between the window screen and the window. It was so bad. I’m embarrassed.

These are just a few things I found that needed to be cleaned.  Have you ever started a project and it led you to clean. It seems that is the way my projects start now a days.

What is on your cleaning list that I didn’t think about? Before you go check out my other cleaning articles. Then follow me on facebook and on pinterest for more fun!

I do the same thing! When I start putting away the tree and all the Christmas decor, I start noticing dirty windows, etc. Mean Green has so many great products and they really help make cleaning up a whole lot easier.

I need to try this out! I’ve slowly been cleaning the house and putting away decorations. There are some spots I really need to scrub.

I have never used this orange champ for cleaning before. Sounds like it works on just about anything and is easy to use.

There’s so much winter grime that can build up in your home. I agree its nice to get it all cleaned up so you can ring the new year in, in a clean peaceful home.

I don’t clean up until the day before New Year’s Eve. I just sit and let the place do its thing for a few days.

This is my goal for sure! My house is crazy hectic right now, our basement flooded a week before I gave birth to our new baby, so everything is a HUGE clutter mess here. I need to get my life in order.

These all sound like good things to do for spring cleaning. I know it’s not spring yet, but in California, it kind of feels like spring already. I will have to try out some of the cleaners you use here.
