As we age we realize how important taking care of our skin is. It is vital to our body to take care of the largest organ we have. As we head into the holiday season I want to make sure my face is ready for the parties that will be happening this month. Is your face party ready?
What can we can do to age gracefully?
The first thing I do every morning after I get up is moisturize my face. It has gotten so much drier the older I get. I make sure it’s the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do at night. I’ve been using L’Oréal Age Perfect for the last two months and I love the way it leaves my skin feeling. It gives me a nice blush or a healthy glow. I love the sweet scent it leaves behind. I don’t like a lot of strong smells. Because of that, I don’t wear many lotions.. This one has a nice light scent that I really do enjoy. It’s really nice how quick it is to absorb into my skin. This means I can put my make up on quickly and head to work. That’s important when you are up and out the door in 30 minutes each weekday morning!
I’ve got a great role model for aging gracefully. Just look at my mama. Her and I love to go to plays and do fun things together. Being with the people you love keeps you young!
Keeping a routine helps me age gracefully too. I’m almost always in bed by 9pm and up at 5am. Getting plenty of sleep is so important to keeping your body healthy. Those routines that are so important for babies are just as important for adults.
Other things you can do to keep your skin look and feel vibrant is to drink lots of water. Cut the caffeinated drinks out and just stick to water. Get your work out in too. Believe it or not this has so many health benefits and it is even good for your skin. It’s good for us to be busy and to sweat. Get up and move! What you eat plays a big part as well. So make sure you eat lots of veggies with your meals. They are so good for our bodies. When you choose to see aging as a thing we do gracefully you begin a journey of a lifetime. It’s no longer about your youth and vitality. It’s about being there for the ones you love. You have to take care of yourself so you can be there to help lift others up as well.
What can you implement to help you age gracefully too?
