The holidays are creeping up on us. It’ll be here before we know it. So, we have to start preparing now. I’ve changed the way I do my holidays. When the kids were smaller it was such a free for all. They had tons of presents (uh…because they cost less then) and they just tore into them. Well, as they’ve gotten older I’ve wanted to give them experiences instead of things. This year my son is getting a Bass guitar and lessons for his big holiday gift. He’s so excited and it’s something he’s always wanted to do. I love that we can be flexible as the kids get older.  Check out this Throwback Thursday to when my kids were so small!

Oh my goodness, they were 2 and 4 here. If you look closely you can even see my son’s shoes are on the wrong feet. They grow up before you know it and so do we.

Check out this Throwback Thursday!

throwback thursday to my 20's

This is a great Throwback Thursday of me and my hubby in our twenties. My skin was smooth and so soft. I never worried about lines or wrinkles or dry skin. I do now.  As I get older I reflect back on the way my skin used to be and the way it is now. I used to be able to just wash it with water and light cleanser and go. Now I have to make sure I remembered to moisturize because my skin is so much drier then it’s ever been before. My skin routine then looked like water and soap. My skin routine now includes: cleanser, toner and moisturizer. It’s so important to take care of your skin. It’s the only skin you have so taking care of it helps to ensure you feel and look your best.

I started using L’ORÉAL Age Perfect Cell Renewal about a month ago. Some things I noticed about it right away was the pleasant and light sent it has. It’s not one that overpowers you. It goes on lightweight and doesn’t feel greasy either. It absorbs so fast. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and ready for my day. Do I wish I still had my skin of my twenties? Yes! But I don’t. I think this is a great product to improve the overall look of my skin and help me feel vibrant and rosy all day long.

Wonder what the L’Oréal Age Perfect Rosy Tone Moisturizer looks like so you can find it in store? Here’s the product so you know what you’re looking for.

Other tips to help you with your skin is to drink tons of water. This is just so good for your whole body in general. I notice that when I drink more caffeinated drinks my skin gets drier and drier. Then when I drink more water my skin gets softer and more supple.

Got any Throwback Thursday pictures you can share with me? Leave them in a comment I’d love to see them. What else should I do to treat my skin right as I age?
