How to make Santa Butt ding dongs

Do you need a funny food to make and take to a holiday event? Why not take my Santa Butt ding dongs! They’re fun and funny and everyone will get a laugh out of them. Wondering how to make my Santa butt ding dongs just keep reading.

How to make Santa Butt ding dongs

 

Santa Butt Ding Dong Ingredients

1 package of white hostess ding dongs

3 egg whites

2 C powder sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp cream of tarter

Black, and Red gel food coloring

3 disposable piping bags with a number 2 tip

1 squeeze bottle

Makes 12

Directions for Santa Butt ding dongs

Unwrap the ding dongs and place them on a wax covered baking sheet

Using a standing mixer, combine the egg whites, powder sugar, vanilla, and cream of tarter and mix until stiff peaks form.

Split the icing into Three bowls

Add a little bit of food coloring into two bowls, leaving the third one white.

Scoop the red, and black 2 piping bags and set aside

Scoop a little bit of the white frosting into the last piping bag.

Add 1 tsp of water into the red frosting bowl and mix until combined. Frosting may be a tad bit runny which is what you want!

Pour the red frosting into the squeeze bottle

Using the red piping bag, pipe a line around the outer edge of the ding dong.

Pipe a line going across the the ding dong

Pipe another line about 1/2 inch around the lower line

Fill in the red lines with the thinned red frosting

Let sit to dry for about 20 minutes

Pipe a black line for santa‘s belt through the top red icing

Pipe a Y in the middle of the white part on the ding dong for the butt

Let ding dongs completely dry for about 1 hour before enjoying!
