I feel a bit like I’m coming full circle. In March I was invited out on an all expense paid trip to visit Pixar for the pre-release of Cars 3 and learned so much about what goes on behind the scenes. Almost everything I learned at that event they have shared with you on the BluRay. It’s like you were there with me. You get to see the slides, the drawing board, the story board, the interviews. You get the trailers, the deleted scenes, the backstory on Nascar, amazing interviews with the old timers of Nascar, you even get to know how they name many of the diecast cars. There’s so much good stuff on this dvd/bluray. Did I mention it’s out now?
It’s one of those must haves for the Christmas stocking or just because you have a sick little one and you’re trying to make them feel better! I totally remember my oldest being so sick and we didn’t have much money at the time. But he was so sick. I was grabbing groceries and medicine with him and he saw a Buzz Lightyear new movie on the shelf. You can bet I brought it home with me. What do you want when you’re sick? You want your mom, your blanket and your newest movie to watch. Cars 3 would be a great way to make a little one feel better too. The Cars 3 review I wrote is here. But I’m going to share a bit of what I wrote then today. My feelings on this movie haven’t really changed. I enjoyed it as much now as I did then.
Here’s some of my thoughts. There’s action, there’s laughter, there’s happiness and there’s sadness. It’s a bit like life. You get some of everything. Be prepared the ending shocked me (in a good but unexpected way). It was not the ending I had envisioned at all. I loved every second of it. It’s empowering and uplifting. It really makes you think. If you’re not changing with the times then you’re standing still. So do you want to be left behind or do you want to change with the times. There’s so many great uplifting parts to this movie. It’s a must see movie for all seasons and for families. Both my teen and my tween enjoyed this film. I think they still love seeing their old favorites come back in a new and exciting way.
