I was so excited to be invited to a very special Marvel Studios, Disney/Pixar & Disney Junior hosted event in October. On this trip we will get to view the live-action film release of Marvel Studio’s THOR: RAGNAROK, the In-Home release of Disney/Pixar’s CARS 3 and the new Disney Junior animated series VAMPIRINA! That’s so exciting!

In Marvel Studios’ THOR: RAGNAROK, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first, he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk! THOR: RAGNAROK is directed by Taika Waititi and returns Chris Hemsworth starring as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. They are joined by Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.

We will also get to walk the red carpet at the THOR: RAGNAROK (opening in theatres on 11/3) premiere and attend the press junket where you will interview yet to be announced (mystery heightens everything am I right?) talent from the film!
While in town I’ ll also attend a CARS 3 themed dinner to celebrate the upcoming In-Home release (available on Digital 10/24 and Blu-ray 11/7) at Disneyland!!! So we found out our CARS 3 dinner (happening Monday night) will be at Flo’s V8 Cafe inside Cars Land at Disney California Adventure!!! I’ve never been to Disneyland. This will be my first time! For the first time ever Cars Land will be fully decked out for “Haul-O-Ween” which will make the night that much more fun! After dinner we will go on Radiator Springs Racers, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBooree AND because it’s right next door, before we head back to the hotel we will go on the brand new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY ride Mission: BREAKOUT! which will be themed out to Halloween with the new name “Monsters After Dark”! It’s going to be a really fun night. I may just faint from excitement! I can’t wait to go on the rides!

Then we’ll screen a new episode of Disney Junior’s new animated series “Vampirina” (premiering 10/1). This tells the story of a young vampire girl who faces the joys and trials of being the new kid in town when her family moves from Transylvania to Pennsylvania.
After the screening there will be a Q&A with the series’ Executive Producer, Chris Nee (“Doc McStuffins”). I love interviewing the directors and producers and hearing their vision of the show and how it started!

You can find Vampirina when it first premiered on Sunday, October 1 2017, with two back-to-back episodes simulcast on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. The episodes will also be available on Disney Junior VOD, Disney Junior YouTube and in the new DisneyNOW app, which will also debut two additional episodes same day. New episodes will be presented every Monday and Friday in October on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. Yay! What fun.
This trip is reminding me of my Pixar trip back in March.
The fun doesn’t stop there as I will also attend a lunch with the technology company littleBits to get hands-on with their brand new STAR WARS Droid Inventor Kit (https://shop.littlebits.cc/products/droid-inventor-kit) where you can make your own R2D2 and bring him to life! OH My Goodness. An R2D2 to go with my R2D2 cookie jar from the 70’s! How much fun is this trip going to be! What an amazing trip. I can’t wait to bring you all the details.
