Let me just say that for a very busy man Kevin Feige the CEO behind the Marvel movie empire was a pleasure to interview. He was open and honest and fun. Without further delay here’s the Kevin Feige interview on Thor Ragnarok..
Will there be a future movie of Guardians of the Galaxy meet Hulk and Thor?
Yes, it comes out next year. It’s called the Avengers Infinity War (haha) which they are finishing up. They’re also working on an untitled Avengers. Will it be a major set up or a cameo? It’s a pretty major meeting of the minds. The Avengers spend a lot of time together. So let’s just see.
After that question we tried to get the low down on when the Avengers: Infinity War trailer will drop. haha didn’t work. We tried. Bloggers be like…
This Thor has a different look and feel. Was that Marvel’s choice or Taika’s choice?
That was a Marvel idea improved on by Taika. We like to take the fans to an unexpected place in each of the movies. We look at the third film as an opportunity to take what the fans like and take them to an unexpected fun place. Mr. Hemsworth used to say, “Hey mate, Capt American has Iron man in his movie, Black widow in his movie. Who am I getting? He was right! very quickly we realized that Hulk would be the guy. Seeing them battle it out together was great. seeing Banner and Thor being fish out of water is even better.
How did you decide to include the Planet Hulk into this one?
Planet Hulk was always a great comic. that image of hulk with his battle weapons and gladitorial games we love. we never thought we’d be able to do it because Banner isn’t a part of those comics. He’s hulk the entire time. We love Mark Ruffalo and want to see him in the movie too. So this is how we were able to bring more of hulk’s story into Thor. and still see Mark Ruffalo. It’s the inspiration of getting to see that story by including it in Thor.
Any plans of she hulk or any other hulk stand alone movies?
I’d love to do them all but we have contracts with studios we have to work out. I’m just glad we have been able to include him in what we’ve already done.
Any interest in doing an A force all women movie?
I think we certainly have enough strong characters to do that. I recently found myself in an undisclosed location with Zoe, Bree, Scarlet, Tessa and all saying when are we going to do this movie.
Any comment on the bloggers aren’t real journalists line in Spiderman?
That was a comedic ad lib with Robert Downey Jr. We went with it. Then at the screenings I was like, “oh I’m going to hear about this.” It was just a funny ad lib.
Off the record who is your favorite Avenger?
I really don’t have a favorite. At 10 years anniversary of Ironman it is one I look back at quite fondly. The experience of Ironman one was our first so I do look back fondly on it. With each release another Avenger rises to the top. I love that there’s talk of Thor being the favorite. I love what we did with Yanu and Mary Poppins.
How do you balance all that you do?
You hire Taika Waititi. I have incredible teams at Marvel Studios too. Each film has an executive producer on it and they follow each film. I’m just a text or phone call away but based here.

And they make me excited to screen the movie.
