Every now and then I completely forget to set anything out for dinner. When I do that is when I usually pull out the ingredients to make my tuna noodle casserole recipe. It’s easy and delicious and the whole family loves it. Well except for one child that hates mushrooms. HA! So why not check out how easy it is to make my tuna noodle casserole recipe and make it for the family.
Tuna Noodle Casserole Recipe Ingredients
wide egg noodles
2 cans of tuna packed in water
cream of celery soup
mushrooms sliced
cheese
breadcrumbs
broccoli
How to Make Tuna Noodle Casserole
The first thing I do is boil the noodles according to the directions on the package. I pull the noodles off the eye about 2 minutes early as they will finish cooking in the oven as well. Then I mix everything in the pot. Throw in the tuna, mushrooms, broccoli, cream of celery and mix it well. Add to an oven safe dish and spray it with cooking spray. To this I add the breadcrumbs lightly to the top. I just barely cover it. Then finally the cheese on top to cover as well. I don’t measure a lot. Sorry!! LOL
Then cook it in the oven for 25 minutes at *375 to melt the cheese and allow the flavors to meld. Take out of the oven and let stand about 5 minutes. Then serve. My kids ate it up and you’d never know I was unprepared for dinner that night. Well there was that one child that picked all the mushrooms out. Then the other two children fought over who got to eat her mushrooms. Delicious and easy to make.
