As a mom of 3 and one bundle of joy on the way, I cringe at the thought of taking a huge “horse pill” like prenatal vitamin. I was the worst at taking them in the mornings or let’s be real, at all! But I was honest about it with my doc. Her “any medications besides your prenatal vitamin?” Me “nope, at least when I remember to take them.” I might be what you’d call a “crunchy momma.” I try to eat food that we can grow ourselves, get our beef, chickens, eggs, and milk all locally from antibiotic free, organic local farms.
I use essential oils, garden and can…I’m mindful of what my family put in and on our bodies. Three healthy pregnancies and three healthy babies, even with the missed prenatal vitamin days. Thankfully I discovered gummy prenatal vitamins…which helped my motivation to take them much more. And now with baby number 4, due nine weeks from today, I learned of a product that piqued my interest even more: (peach mango). An “all natural, gluten free, and non-GMO” gummy prenatal vitamin, what?! I was all over it and eager to try them! I kept reading things like “You get 100% of the daily value of 11 essential nutrients, plus brain-building omega-3 and Alpha GPC” and Contains Alpha GPC, a highly bioavailable form of choline and the only form that crosses the blood-brain barrier to nourish your baby’s growing brain.* It also helps to enhance DHA absorption.*” I mean really, what is not to love so far. So, I stalked the mailbox and waited. Once the package arrived I quickly opened it, excited to see what the UpSpring Prenatal+ Gummy was all about. As I was reading the box, yes I really did read the box. I told you I pay attention to what I put in my body. As I was reading the box I saw another thing I loved: “Ultra-pure marine oil with ZERO mercury Nausea-free formula … and no fishy burps!” Let me say it once more…no more fishy burps! This can’t be serious, can it? I was hopeful!
I opened the box, unwrapped the outer safety wrapper, and popped the inner safety seal. The softgels were first and I was pleased to see that they were small in size, whew. They did however have a slight “fishy” smell so I was a bit worried. Next were the gummies, and they smelled great as soon as the seal was broken. Win! I took the recommended dose for the sofgel and gummies for the first time. They went down easily, no horse pill here. The gummies tasted good, not overly sweet. And I loved that they weren’t filled with sugar, or even worse faux sugars.
By supper time I did notice that I was a bit more “burpy” than I had been previously. And it was a little bit fishy tasting but it wasn’t bad at all. I mean really, it’s day one, give it a shot. I have been taking the recommended dose going on 2 weeks. I can say that I love finding all-natural products without any junky fillers and added sugars!
If you are a mommy to be and looking for a prenatal vitamin that “is a complete multivitamin that also includes omega-3 DHA and choline (in the form of Alpha GPC), which are clinically shown to support fetal brain development. This formula also contains the natural form of vitamin B9, folate, instead of synthetic folic acid. Enjoy three delicious mango-peach gummies every day plus one easy-to-swallow softgel. You get 100% of the daily value of 11 essential nutrients, plus brain-building omega-3 and Alpha GPC. Best of all, our gummy is easy on the stomach, so no tummy upsets!” then I would say you have found it here with UpSpring Prenatal+ Gummy and Softgel Kit. You can get your here.
Everyone welcome Shelley to our world! Hi Shelley!
My name is Shelley Weiler. I am a wife (10 years), mother (soon to be 4, you know that), small business owner (SoDak Screens), and most importantly daughter of the YHVH (Creator of heaven and earth). To say I am blessed is an understatement.
I am pass this point of my life but I have friends that are right in the middle of this right now. This looks like a great prenatal and it will tell it!
This sounds like an excellent prenatal vitamin. DHA is so important to baby’s development.
A good prenatal is SO important. This sounds like a great one 🙂
It sounds like these really do have everything you could want from prenatal supplements. The omega-3s are going to be very important.
There are so many prenatals on the market now. It seems like there are way better options than when I was pregnant.
These look a lot tastier than the ones I had to take during my pregnancy. Mine were huge horse pills. I would much rather have had gummies to chew on!
Oh I agree about the “faux sugars” thing in supplements. That is seriously one of the worst things ever. Doesn’t it totally defeat the purpose? LOL Thanks for introducing me to UpSpring. Will definitely check them out!
I have never had children but my friends all experience really major hair growth on their prenatal vitamins so I have often wondered if I should try them myself even though I am not nor plan to be preggo! LOL 🙂
These are really great tips for expecting moms! Thanks for sharing! Will share this with my friends too!
That’s really nice. It’s good to have the right vitamins when you’re pregnant. I’m sure these are going to help a lot. I love that it comes in gummy form!
I am way past the stage of getting pregnant. However, I thing this UpSpring prenatal vitamins contains pretty much everything an expectant mother needs. I will help you spread the word.
This UpSpring Prenatal vitamins look like a good preparation to take when expecting. I like that it has ingredients that promote or enhance fetal brain development. I will let friends and family know about this. I am done with that phase of life. 🙂
This brand sounds promising! I don’t if we plan on having another but will keep this in mind if I do.
This will be noted. Eating a healthy diet is always a wise idea — especially during pregnancy. It’s also a good idea during pregnancy to take a prenatal vitamin to help cover any nutritional gaps in the mother’s diet.
I was kind of blind going into pregnancy. I knew I needed to take vitamins, but wasn’t sure which ones. Need to share this with my expecting mamas.
When I was pregnant with my two boys, I never let the day pass without taking my prenatal vits. They’re great and I think it has contributed to my children’s great health overall.
