I have two methods to share with you. One is in the Instant Pot and one is on top of the stove. They both work great! This way if you don’t have an Instant Pot you can still have easy to peel hard boiled eggs.
Instant Pot Easy to Peel Hard Boiled Eggs
Ingredients:
eggs
instant pot
water
Set your rack in the instant pot and place your eggs on top of the rack. Then add one cup of water. Put the lid on and set the manual timer to 5 minutes. Once it pressures up and then is beeping at you let it sit 5 minutes. Then release the pressure and put the eggs in ice cold water. Peel the eggs immediately. I keep them in a bit of water so that they don’t dry out in the fridge.
Stove Top Easy to Peel Hard Boiled Eggs
Place your eggs in a pot and cover completely in water. Put on the eye of the stove on high and bring to a boil. Let boil for 4 minutes. Put the lid on the pan and let them steep for 11 minutes. Then submerge in ice water and peel immediately after they have cooled. Again put them in the fridge with a bit of water so that they don’t dry out.
Both recipes have worked great for me. It’s nice to be able to have a recipe for easy to peel hard boiled eggs whether it’s in the Instant Pot or on top of the stove. They taste delicious and make for a nutritious breakfast. Have you tried these methods? Which one works best for you?
