Fun things for teens to do in Nashville

When you have teens you’re always looking for something fun to do to keep them busy. We live right outside of Nashville, TN and are so impressed with all the things we have to do here. My teens (I have 3) love the access to music, arts and the entertainment we have here! Why not check out my fun things to do with teens in Nashville!

downtown nashville fun

The downtown area in Nashville is ripe with fun things to do. There’s usually a band playing by the riverfront. That is a great spot to listen to music. There’s tons of great restaurants to eat at in the downtown area. There are two closest to the riverfront. One is the Hard Rock Cafe and the other is Canyon River Grille and they’re both delicious. The riverfront area is a great place to get a workout in too. You can do a brisk walk or simply stroll the area and take in the sites and sounds. I know for a fact that there’s usually a guy painted all in silver that hangs out down there. It’s worth it to go downtown just to people watch.

bridgestone arena downtown nashville

The Bridgestone Arena is right downtown as well. They have many concerts and sporting events here. One of our favorites is to watch the Predators play hockey there. There’s so much excitement to be had. We also love to go to All for the Hall. That’s where the country music community comes together to raise funds for Nashville music programs in their schools. Last year we bought tickets and saw Keith Urban, Vince Gill and so many of the younger up and coming artists. The songs and artists were fun and made for a great night out. The teens would love to see Taylor Swift, Flo.rida or Justin Timberlake here for sure. So the fun continues in Nashville!

nashville fireworks

If you’re in Nashville on New Year’s Eve or on July 4th you have to check out our free fireworks show. It’s such a beautiful event. We’ve been many times and it’s always  on the list of fun things to do with the teen set! The traffic in and out is rough. But if you park and walk over the pedestrian bridge the view is spectacular and you’re almost at the interstate. The views from that bridge alone would be breathtaking.  Be prepared to hang out there awhile. When there’s 100000 people that move into downtown for the fireworks display each time it takes awhile to exit the downtown area! The teens will love that they time the fireworks to music and you hear the beats in the fireworks.  The Nashville Symphony is usually involved in the fireworks displays. So you get music and a show.

My kids love taking a trip to Centennial Park to see the reproduction of the Parthenon from Greece. It’s stunning and a must see if you come to Nashville. The park is a great place to get your workout in. You can enjoy the beauty and the serenity of Nashville from this park. Not only can you say hello to Athena, she’s huge and right inside the Parthenon, you can also enjoy the splendor of the the Nashville landscape.  There’s playgrounds here, places to hear music, places to see plays right in the park and the only expense you pay is when you go into the Parthenon. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a day of outside fun and friends. Bring your teens and a yummy picnic lunch, play frisbee, hide and seek or just sunbathe at this beautiful park.

The fireworks would go over really well with my kids. They are such little pyromaniacs.

We were in Nashville 2 years ago and had such a great time touring the area. I also buy Advil Menstrual Pain for my 17 year old daughter. It really helps get her through the worst symptoms during that time of the month.

I think my boys would love the Bridgestone Arena. They are huge sports fans and they would be thrilled if they could watch a sporting event or concert there. I wish we lived close to Nashville so that we could enjoy all these fun activities.

Never been to Nashville myself, but would love to at some point. I always picture there being tons of stuff to do there but I would LOVE to see Parthenon from Greece. I think my teen would enjoy that too!

I didn’t know they had this. My niece recently got her first period and she got really bad cramps. I am going to buy these for her.
