My kids look forward to Friday night at our house! We usually eat a delicious homemade pizza. Pizza is so not hard to make from scratch and it tastes delicious! So why not make my chicken spinach alfredo pizza recipe at home this Friday night! Look at that picture! Doesn’t it look delicious? You will not be sorry you made this from scratch!
Chicken Spinach Alfredo Pizza Recipe Ingredients
Leftover cooked chicken (or canned if you have it)
fresh spinach
1/2 block of cream cheese
2-3 tbs milk
8 oz of shredded mozzerella
2 cloves garlic minced or 1 tsp powdered garlic
1/4 onion chopped finely
Alfredo recipe
Take cream cheese, milk, garlic and put into pan on med high heat. Cook for 3-6 minutes until the cream cheese is smooth. Add a 1/3 cup of mozzerella to alfredo sauce. Let cook while you make crusts. As it cools it will thicken. This makes enough sauce for 1 fairly large pizza and then I make one pepperoni or cheese pizza to go with it.
Pizza crust recipe
I make this ahead of time. Around noon the day we’ll be eating pizza.
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 pkg. yeast (or 1 tsp)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 c. sifted flour (I did 2 cups white and 2 cups whole wheat)
- Instructions
- Put into large mixing bowl water, olive oil, yeast and salt. Let yeast soften in oil. Stir occasionally. Work in flour then knead on well floured board until smooth. Put a tbs oil into the bowl and place crust in their to rise. Flip it so oil gets on all sides of crust. Let rise until double. I let it rise about 3.5 hours. If you need to make it quicker you’d probably need to up the recipe to account for not having time for it to rise. Spread on 2 pizza pans.
- Then add alfredo sauce to pizza. Add cut up chicken, onions, spinach and then add the remaining cheese on top of pizzas. Then cook in a hot 400* oven and bake 20-25 minutes. I bake about 5-6 minutes longer to crisp up the crust.
