almost christmas review

I took two of my best girls out to the theater the other night. It’s been a long time since I’ve sat through a movie and listened to the audience laugh as hard as they did at this movie. It was sweet and funny and yet it tugs at your heartstrings. It was a movie about family getting together at Christmas and all the chaos that it brings. Danny Glover’s character has lost the matriarch of the family earlier in the year. It focuses on how the family goes on. The fighting siblings, the bratty kids, the unruly inlaws are an all star cast. It was a fabulous cast and crew. I loved Aunt May. I think we all laughed at her the most! Gabrielle Union did a great job being the single and yet oh so independent sister who leans on no one! I mean no one!!

almost christmas me and bff

There’s a special quote in this movie that made me really think! It goes like this: Dalai Lama says, “Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. and if you can’t help them at least don’t hurt them.” The family believes this and tries to do good. However problems happen at every turn trying to get them to break this promise. You will laugh. You will tear up. You will leave happy that you came! So whatever you’re doing drop it and go see this movie on 11/11.  Grab your girlfriends and head to #AlmostChristmas for a fun girls night out! You will be glad you did!  You can get your tickets here ALMOST CHRISTMAS is In Theaters November 11!
