I took my kids and a few of their friends to go see Middle School the other night. It was totally not what I expected. I laughed and cried and really enjoyed this movie and it’s message. It was fun to be in the theater and listening to the other adults laughing as hard as I was. We’ve read a total of 3 James Patterson books for teens and they’ve all been home runs. So if you’re wondering if your teen would enjoy this the answer is mine did. If you’re wondering if you will enjoy this? I did. It was a fun movie that had a serious side that was also tender and sweet. Two thumbs up for kids and adults in my opinion. Check out what Middle School is about below!
MIDDLE SCHOOL: THE WORST YEARS OF MY LIFE, which chronicles the trials and triumphs of Rafe Khatchadorian, as he uses his wits to battle bullies, hormones and the tyrannical, test-obsessed Principal Dwight. Rafe’s revolution leaps from the page to the screen in this ambitious live-action/animated hybrid based on the New York Times bestseller “Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life” by legendary novelist James Patterson. The family comedy will open in theaters nationwide on Friday, October 7th, and the trailer can be viewed here. Take your teens and tweens and check it out this weekend. You will be glad you did. I found it a wonderful way to spend one and a half hours.
