Sauerbraten Ingredients for Pressure Cooker 

Sauerbraten Roast Recipe in the pressure cooker or instant pot

Ingredients
  1. 1 tbs cooking oil
  2. 2 lbs bottom round
  3. 2 stalks celery chopped
  4. 3 carrots chopped
  5. 1 onion diced
  6. 2 tsp garlic powder
  7. salt and pepper to taste
  8. 1/2 c red wine
  9. 1/2 c apple cider vinegar
  10. 1/2 c broth (beef or chicken I used chicken)
  11. 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
  12. 3 tbs raisins
  13. 2 tbs brown sugar
  14. 1 tsp ginger
  15. 1/2 tsp dill seasoning
Instructions

  2. Heat the oil in the pressure cooker on medium high heat. Saute setting is usually what I use. Brown the meat on all sides. Then remove and plate it. Add the celery, carrots and onions and saute until softened. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot. Then add the roast back in. Put lid on pressure cooker and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes. I set mine to manual 25 minutes high pressure and let it do it's thing. When it beeps let it naturally release the pressure and do not open until it's completely released. Then take lid off and plate the roast again. Pull all ingredients out and put in blender or use immersion blender in the pot. Then add back over the roast. Add your veggies and eat up! This was so delicious that you will not regret making it! It will quickly become your favorite roast recipe.
