Crock Pot White Sauce Pulled Chicken Recipe
If there is one thing that I love, it’s a good crock pot recipe. What’s not to love about throwing some ingredients into a big pot, turning it on and by the time you get home you have an amazing dinner without having to stand in the kitchen for hours cooking it! And what’s one of the best things to cook in the crock pot? For me it’s chicken! It cooks down great, and really takes on the flavor of the spices and things you use in the recipe. This week I made some super yummy crock pot white sauce pulled chicken for dinner and it turned out really well! We had it on top of onion toasted with some mac and cheese. The perfect midweek dinner if you ask me. I thought I would share the recipe with my fellow crock pot lovers, enjoy!
Here is how to make my crock pot white sauce pulled chicken recipe:
You Will Need:
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
½ cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
1 ½ teaspoons salt
⅛ teaspoon black pepper
1½ teaspoons hot sauce
Step 1: Combine all of your sauce ingredients together in your slow cooker. Add your chicken on top and salt and pepper.
Step 2: Cook your chicken on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 2-4 hours.
Step 3: About 30 minutes before you are ready to serve, take out your chicken and shred it with 2 forks. Put back in the slow cooker to make sure it soaks up all the juices!
Step 4: Serve on toast, buns, or just eat it up by itself!
This has quickly become one of my family’s favorite recipes, and mine too because it’s so easy to make! For your meal preppers out there, this recipe also freezes really well! I hope you enjoy!
