Ugh, if you’re a pet owner at some point in time you’ve probably dealt with fleas and/or parasites. My friend is dealing with this at her house right now. The thing about fleas is that they are so preventable. I try so hard to do the right thing by my dogs and my house. It just takes one friend bringing their dog over to remind you why you treat for fleas and worms. With Virbac® SENTINEL® SPECTRUM® I treat once a month by giving both my dogs a yummy treat that’s like a chew and it takes care of all those pests that no one wants to deal with. I’m so thankful for using and finding out how well SENTINEL® SPECTRUM® works for my pets and my family. These chews are a lifesaver for my dogs and my house.

Protect your pet with year round prevention

The fleas you see aren’t the only ones there. There are fleas you can’t see that can live up to a year while trying to find a host. Female fleas within 24 hours after finding a host can produce 40-50 eggs per day. Oh my goodness…say it isn’t so. If you use SENTINEL® SPECTRUM® then you use it for year round protection and you’re pet and family is always protected. Not only from fleas but from other parasites like tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms and more. I’d rather have that piece of mind then be bombing my house for fleas and dealing with worms. Insert shivers up my spine. Ugh.

Parasites and Prevention

Yesterday I cut my dogs hair. He’s a malti zhu which is a maltese shih tzu mix so his hair grows like crazy. I have to shave him about once every 6 weeks and I do it myself. I checked him for fleas and tapeworms. Your dog can get tapeworms by ingesting fleas who bit another dog with tapeworms. He had no flea dirt and only a few mattes and burrs in his hair. I’d rather deal with cutting out a small matte and removing his burrs rather than dealing with fleas. We have fresh raspberries growing in our yard so he’s going to get a few burrs and have a matte or two.

That’s a main problem here with our pets. I wish that there was a pill they could just pop and it all goes away. It would make things easier for our fur babies.

Ohh I’m going to have to check out this brand as I admit I haven’t heard of them before, but they sound great and I definitely want to make sure my Sal is free from fleas and worms 🙂 X

I have never owned a dog so I am not aware of health issues such as this. I’m sure a lot of dog owners will appreciate a product that helps protect their fur babies!

Just recently my mom was looking to change her dog’s brand of flea and parasite medication. I will let her know about this brand.

It’s heartbreaking when your pups get sick from fleas. I used to be a bather and we had to not only bathe the dog in a flea shampoo the moment fleas were found on the pet (without owner knowledge) but we’d have to put them in a cage away from the other pets until pick up. Fleas like to jump, and we couldn’t risk the others. Made them so sad 🙁

I don’t have a dog, but this seems like a great way to treat for pests. It seems like it would be really easy to just give your dog a treat and that would protect your pet and family from fleas and worms.
