Simple DIY Rock Teapot Rest
Welcome to another craft Tuesday here at My Un-Entitled Life! Where are my hot tea lovers at? When I want to relax after a long day, very few things beat a good book and a cup of hot tea. And no microwave will do when making tea, gotta breakout the teapot. Normally I just rest my teapot on a dishtowel, but I was feeling a little crafty so I thought I would get a little fancy and make a simple DIY Rock Teapot Rest! It looks pretty, it’s easy to make, and it’s much better than using your dishtowel, ha! You want to make one for yourself? Let’s get started!
Here is how to make my simple DIY Rock Teapot Rest:
You Will Need:
- Rubber Shelf Liner
- Rocks (the smoother the better, I picked up a pack of rocks at the dollar tree!)
- Super Glue
- Scissors
Instructions for making this DIY Rock Teapot Rest:
Step 1: Lay out your shelf liner and place the teapot you will be using on your liner. Cut a circle around your teapot. (as close to the shape as you can get it)
Step 2: Using your super glue (I imagine you could use hot glue as well, I just didn’t have any on hand, ha!) glue your rocks to your liner. Starting from the center and working your way out seems to be the best way to go about this. Using smooth rocks with flat bottoms also seem to work best.
Step 3: Once you have all of your rocks glued down, trim off the excess liner around the edges, and you’re all done!
There you have it! In 3 steps and for about $3 you have a cute and functional DIY Rock Teapot Rest that looks great and works fantastically! I hope you enjoyed this fun DIY and Happy Crafting!
