See a Doctor from home with Doctor On Demand!

This post was sponsored by Doctor On Demand as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.

We have all been there. You wake up in the morning (or sometimes in the middle of the night, ugh) and you know something isn’t right. It might be a sore throat, a migraine, or a dreaded stomach ache and you know that the longer you are awake the worse it’s going to get. So what do you do? Well before Doctor On Demand I would round the kids up and take us all to the doctor. Which was miserable for all of us. I just wanted to be in bed, and now I had to expose my kids to other possible illnesses by dragging them to the doctor. Well I say no more! Have you ever heard of Doctor On Demand? It’s a real game changer ya’ll!

What is Doctor on Demand?

Simply put,  Doctor On Demand is the fastest, most convenient way to see a doctor from the comfort of home. Yes that’s right, no more going to the doctor (for most common illnesses that is). You can use your phone, computer, or tablet to talk to one of Doctor On Demands board certified physicians. They will go over your medical history, you symptoms, and are even able to prescribe medications during your visit. How cool is that!? Medical visits are $40 for 15 minutes and Doctor On Demand is now covered by many health plans. Your visit may be fully or partially covered by your health plan or employer!

I recently used Doctor On Demand services over the weekend when I woke up with a terrible headache, itchy eyes, and a runny nose. It was hard for me to tell if I was experiencing a common cold, allergies, or something else. Because these conditions often mimic each other I wanted to get a doctors opinion on what was happening and what the proper way to treat it would be.

I loved how fast and easy my appointment went! The wait time was about 3 minutes to get a doctor on my phone. And I don’t know about you, but I’ve never only waited 3 minutes at a doctors office, that’s for sure! After telling my doctor my symptoms, how long it had been going on, and what it felt like, she determined that I am suffering from some seasonal allergies. Which makes total since because everything is blooming around here!

After settling on a diagnosis it was time to see what we could do about it! She called me in a nasal spray and some allergy meds right during our call! 30 minutes later I was at my pharmacy picking up my medicine. I feel better already!

I am so in love with this service! I am super busy most days and I don’t have time to be sick, let alone sit in the Dr’s office for an hour to be handed and RX for a generic antibiotic or to be told I need to just wait it out a few more days. It’s also so much better than dragging a sick kid to the Dr for allergy issues, etc.

I think many people would want to use this app! It’s so cool to book appointments online without having to queue very long or call the hotline of the clinic or hospital and wait for hours just to get through. This service is very innovative.

You had me at the 3 minute wait time! By the time I get loaded up in the car, drive to the doctor’s office, wait in the waiting room for 30 minutes and the exam room for at least another 30 minutes — half of the day is gone! Totally checking this out!

I’ve been hearing a lot about Doctor on Demand. This sounds like a great service. I love that you can easily talk to a doctor on the event that you cannot go out and visit a clinic.

This is such a convenience for those who cant’ or are even just too busy to get out to the doctor. I love this option for families!
