We love movie night at our house. This last week I think I went a bit overboard. I hope they don’t expect this every week. First I decided on the theme of the movie night! Shark Tales. Then I decided on the fun snacks. We had yummy shark cupcakes, Shark punch and a fun shark inspired popcorn trailmix treat. Here’s how you put it all together before you settle down with Shark Week or Shark Tales the movie!
This may just be my favorite part of making movie night fun is making the yummy treats and following a theme. It’s just part of making movie night an adventure. I think I like the circle frosting on my cupcakes the most more like the ocean maybe? What do you think? The other way it looks like a snake!

-Frost cupcakes from the outside edge to the center of the cupcake. Or you can do a side to side motion or make waves. Add swedish fish to the top!
and my Popcorn Mix recipe is:
2 bags Popped popcorn
1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 cup sunflowers
1/3 cup raisins
1/4 cup Swedish Fish
Mix well.
Shark Juice Recipe
1 bottle of blue punch
1 bottle of lemon lime soda
swedish fish
I froze my swedish fish so they would be cold in my drinks. Then I added 1/2 cup of lemon lime to 1/2 cup of blue punch to each child’s glass. You can also add them both together in a punch bowl if you’re serving a large crowd. Stir and serve. The kids loved their drinks!
My kids came home from school to this yummy spread and they were so excited to get to eating. Then watching the movie on the floor in the living room made it just so much fun! What movies do you like to watch with the kids? We love all the fun ones like Shark Tales, Shark Week, Finding Nemo, etc. This would go great with all of them.
