Easy Fathers Day Craft Upcycle
As most of you know, I love any excuse to break out my craft box and have some fun. And with Fathers Day right around the corner, there are plenty of opportunities to get a little crafty. y kids share my love of crafting, so they love making homemade gifts for friends and family during holidays and birthdays. So we got together and tried to think of what we should make for my husband for Fathers Day and we remembered that he is always leaving little things around the garage. Nuts, bolts, screws, earplugs, you name it. So the kids thought it would be cool to make him something that would help him keep up with all those small parts. We also remembered that we had just devoured 2 cans of chips so that is wear the idea for this Easy Fathers Day Craft Upcycle came from! Keep reading to learn how to make it!
Here is how to make this Easy Fathers Day Craft Upcycle:
You Will Need:
- Chip cans
- Cardstock (or any kind of paper you have on hand!)
- Scissors
- Tape
Step 1: First you will want to pick out your paper. You will need at least 2 different colors (one for the base and one or two for the buttons and tie). Measure your paper and cut to fit.
Step 2: Wrap your paper around your can and secure using tape. Cut off any excess paper you have on the bottom of your can or it won’t sit right.
Step 3: Cut out a tie out of your other color of paper. (I found an image on google that I just traced and cut out. Easy Peasy!)
Step 4: Punch out (or cut out) circles for the buttons. Even better, see if you have any real buttons around your house. We didn’t haha.
Step 5: Tape on your tie and buttons and ta-da! You have a super cute and Easy Fathers Day Craft Upcycle that dad is sure to love! Enjoy!
