I love all things that have to do with crafting, and especially crafting with glitter! Mothers Day is coming up in just a few weeks, and what’s better than a bunch of flowers for Mom? I’ll tell you what’s better, a bunch of pretty flowers in a DIY Glitter Vase, that’s what, ha! So if you are looking for a fun and simple gift idea for mom, or something beautiful to use to hold your own flowers, this is the perfect craft for you! You only need a few things and about 15 minutes and you will have a DIY Glitter Vase that everyone is sure to love! Let’s check out how to make it…
Here is how to make a DIY Glitter Vase:
You Will Need:
- A Vase (I picked mine up at the dollar tree!)
- Mod Podge (Which is available at craft stores, and I actually found this small bottle at the dollar tree as well!)
- Glitter! (I used 3 different colors, you can use as many or as few as your like!)
- A paint brush
- Optional: Painters tape (if you are using more than one color of glitter)
Instructions for DIY Glitter Vase:
Step 1: Make sure your glass is clean. If you will be using more than one color, use painters tape to tape off the different sections.
Step 2: Using a paintbrush (a sponge would also work just fine) apply your mod podge to the surface of the glass.
Step 3: It’s time to get to glittering! I would suggest doing this over a paper plate, or paper towel because glitter has a tendency to get all over the place. You will pour the glitter over your mod podge. I decided to go with a a non even split for the bottom 2 colors, so they kind of swirl together!
Step 4: Once your vase is covered with glitter, let dry about an hour and you are all done!
That’s it! 4 easy steps and you have a beautiful DIY Glitter Vase that would make a beautiful gift for someone special!
