5 Ways to boost your metabolism this new year #ProgresswithProgresso

The new year has just started and it’s time for us to work on ourselves. Why not work on boosting your metabolism and getting more toned this year? Those are my goals. I’m not setting a weight goal or anything. I want to be more fit and toned and boost my metabolism every day. Here’s 5 simple ways for you to do that!

1. Make some homemade yogurt without any sugar. For breakfast eat 1/2 cup homemade yogurt with a cut up banana and 3 tbs whole uncooked oats. This is a great metabolism booster and so good for you! Recipe coming soon!

3. Do a sculpting or toning video 2 days a week and cardio 2 days a week. You can find tons of videos on youtube. I’ve found great yoga dvd’s at the dollar store in my area too. The point is to make it a habit to work out and tone each week.

4. Add lots of ice to all your drinks. When you drink something super cold your body has to work to bring that drink up to room temperature. Make sure 90% of your drinks are water. This is my downfall and one I intend on working on this year for sure.

5. Eat lots of plants during the day and night. Plants are always going to give you the feeling that you are full because of the amount of fiber in them. They will give you lasting power of not wanting to eat so often.

  1. I think their traditional chicken barley sounds delicious….pair that with a salad, and I would have an easy lunch – my workplace has a microwave I can use to heat the soup, so I would be good to go!

  2. I’d like to add the creamy potato with bacon and cheese! I’m sure it will be my favorite, especially if I spoon it over a chicken breast!
