Pampers has started a campaign to recognize all that nurses do! Their Thank a Nurse campaign recognizes nurses in 3 categories, labor and deliver, neonatal intensive care (nicu) and postpartum. The nurses that cared for me after having my babies were so wonderful. They all were caring and helpful towards a first time mom and then a more seasoned mom too. I so remember being in the hospital waiting on my little boys to meet me and the world. It was a time that I look back on and remember fondly. It’s funny to me that something involved in so much pain can then be looked on with so much fondness. The nurses who care for us during this time are priceless. Pampers wants you to nominate a nurse that you’ve seen do an outstanding job in one of these areas. You can nominate them here. Nominations for your favorite nurses are open from November 9 through December 14, 2015.
There will be three finalists, one in each category (Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Postpartum). These will be announced in March and the grand prize honoree will be announced in May. The three finalists will be honored with short documentary videos showcasing their unique and inspirational nursing stories. How exciting! Each of the three finalists will receive a one-year membership to the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), attendance at the 2016 AWHONN Convention, Procter & Gamble care packages, and more. Why not visit http://tongal.com/pampersnurses for full prizing details. In addition to that they’re going to help others in honor of these nurse winners. Three, count them, three Pampers Swaddlers scholarships will be made available to help nurses from underrepresented groups complete their studies toward a Master of Science in Nursing degree. I love that they are also doing this to help nurses achieve their goals of simply being nurses!
You will want to go to the Pamper #ThankYouNurses Twitter Party, hosted by iConnect. It will take place on November 19 from 8-9pmCST.
Prizes will include:
Prize 1: $50 AMEX plus diapers and wipes
Prize 2: $75 AMEX plus diapers and wipes

Grand Prize: $350 AMEX plus diapers and wipes

My daughters aunt is a nurse/OB tech and she stayed way past her shift to stay with me in the OR for an unplanned C-section. I was so grateful that she was there.

My favorite nurse that most stands out is Nurse Janet. When I had my first baby, everything was totally new to me and my milk wasn’t coming in. She told me to start pumping (as well as having the baby suck on my breast like I was doing). After trying a couple of pumping sessions, my milk finally came in and I was so relieved. I wish I would have started pumping to help get the milk going right away, but am so thankful to her for her advice! Julie [email protected]

My bff is honestly one of the most caring and talented nurses I know. She genuinely cares and puts her whole self into her work to ensure that her patients receive the quality of care and attention that they deserve. Additionally, my favorite nurse and BFF just had her first baby last week – a beautful baby boy. I would love to see her receive recognition for all of her hard work and selfless spirit!
