I have been trying to eat more protein in my diet and less carbs. So I decided I needed an oatmeal recipe with extra protein to get me through the day. I love oatmeal for breakfast. Love it. So here’s what you need!
Milk (your choice I have to use lactaid free)
Protein powder (I love Purely Inspired)
Steel Cut Oats
1/4 cup steel oats
1 1/4 cup milk
1/4 scoop of protein powder
Add them all together to your bowl. Cover your bowl with cling wrap so that your milk and oatmeal doesn’t boil over. Cook in the microwave for 5 minutes. Take out and let cool a minute or two. Then enjoy!
