DIY Lemon Painted Tea Towels

As most of you know, I love to DIY pretty much anything I can. My wedding was DIY, my home is filled with DIY projects, and summer is my favorite time to get some projects done. Why is this? Because my daughter is out of school and she can craft with me! This week we have been sprucing up the kitchen (which isn’t nearly as fun as it sounds, it’s a lot of throwing expired stuff away and scrubbing cabinets lol) and we decided we needed to bring some color into my rather drab kitchen. So we thought of ways we could do this and settled on this super cute DIY Lemon Painted Tea Towel! All you need to make this project is a lemon, some paint, and a towel! It’s super easy and is sure to bring a pop of color into your kitchen too! Let’s check out how to make it shall we?

Here is how to make my DIY Lemon Painted Tea Towel:

You Will Need:

  • A White Tea Towel
  • 2 Colors of Paint
  • Lemons

First, You will get a plate to put your paint on. Pour your colors of paint on a plate (you could use as many or as little as you like!). Cut your lemons in half and dip them cut side down into the paint.

Next, you will be pressing your lemons onto your tea towel. Press firmly and then lift straight up. You will do this in alternating colors until you have covered your tea towel.

Last, let your tea towel dry and enjoy! Make sure to hand wash it when it gets dirty!

Wasn’t that any easy project to make? You could even have your kids do it and then you will have a little bit of their artwork in your kitchen! Enjoy!
