DIY Upcycled Flower Vase
Is it just me, or does everyone else have an endless amount of jars laying around their house? I keep all of my pickle jars, jam jars, etc, in hopes that I will find a use for them one day. Well, today was that day! I was cleaning out my craft room and found some awesome hemp rope and I had the idea to make a fun (and super easy) DIY Upcycled Flower Vase. You only need a few items and about 10 minutes to make this, and it’s perfect for displaying beautiful spring and summer flowers. Keep reading to find out how to make it!
Here is how to make this DIY Upcycled Flower Vase:
You Will Need:
- Rope (I used hemp rope)
- Clear drying glue
- A Jar (I used a pickle jar!)
- scissors
- Optional- Accent lace
First, Make sure you take the label off your jar. Most labels come off easily with hot water and your fingernail. Make sure your jar is dry and starting from the bottom, make a line of glue all the way around the jar and wrap your rope around the jar. Continue to do this until you get all the way to the top of your jar. Let it DRY for about an hour.
This is what your jar should look like when its done. Make sure there are no spaced where the glass is viable through the rope.
Next, add a strip of pretty lace in the middle to add that little something extra. You could also use ribbon or fabric for this part as well. Or you could leave it as is, it’s pretty either way!
How easy was that right? I am in LOVE with the way this project turned out. It was so easy and fun and really brings a pop of color to my entry way. I hope you enjoy!
