We love to grill once the weather heats up. We grill a lot on the weekend. It’s so nice to not heat the house up. Something I usually struggle with making is the sides. This week I decided to add some mix ins to a Suddenly Salad and use that as my side. The family ate it up. I always plant a garden each year. In that garden the two things I must have are squash and tomatoes. Tomatoes come first. I love them so. I added both tomatoes, squash and a little bit of finely chopped onion to my Betty Crocker salad (coupon). It was just so good. If you’ve never tried to eat squash straight from the garden, just cut it up. It really doesn’t have a lot of flavor. It gives the salad a great crunch and absorbs the flavor of the dressing. They’ve come up with some yummy new flavors. There’s a whole grain section as well. I’m looking forward to trying the macaroni salad. I just made the creamy italian. That one is so good. If you wanted to make it a meal just add some leftover chicken (cold but already cooked) or some ham or turkey. Voila a nice meal on a hot day.
