Elvis Inspired Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Recipe

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Recipe

My kids love to eat smoothies. It’s one of our favorite breakfasts and it’s lovely how quick and easy it is. We took our cue from Elvis and made a yummy peanut butter banana smoothie on Friday for a quick snack before we ran out the door to have our Friday Festivities.  Check out my yummy Peanut Butter Banana smoothie recipe below!

PB Banana Smoothie Recipe

Elvis Inspired Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

Peanut Butter 1/2 cup

bananas 2 whole (the older the better) Little known fact the bananas with brown spots have more antioxidents in them and more cancer fighting properties so let’s use those old bananas and get that good stuff out of it.

Purely Inspired protein powder 1 scoop

milk (I use lactaid) 1 cup

ice cubes 2 cups

This makes enough to share. I was able to have 3 servings for my kids and myself. So good!

Blend or Mix in your Mixer. Drink! Enjoy! My entire family enjoyed this smoothie recipe. We will be having it again and often! It was so yummy! Do you have a favorite smoothie recipe? Share it with me in a comment if you’d like me to make it and share with my readers. I’m always looking for new ways to make smoothies. Do you prefer a berry  moothie or fun inspired new smoothie recipes?

I did not know that about the older bananas having more antioxidants, interesting! My family loves smoothies, we will give the recipe a try, thanks!

I’d love this but I just can’t do PB in anything but on a sandwich. My husband has PB anything and everything though. I’ve made him smoothies with it too, and he just loved it. Love how it’s inspired by good ol’ Elvis 🙂

I have never had a smoothie with peanut butter in it. I don’t know why – when I think of these types of drinks, I can get with chocolate and fruit flavors – but peanut butter? I JUST got warmed up to peanut butter pie…that’s pretty good. I would like to try Purely Inspired protein powder one of these days…I am getting more and more into these types of products.

I had no idea that the more ripe bananas were better for you! How interesting to know. We do make smoothies for our little ones as well and they are usually just plain chocolate. I’ll have to try this recipe.

Sounds like a great way to make a smoothie. We are going to buy some plant based protein today. I have never thought of using peanut butter in my smoothie, great idea.

Anything that is peanut butter is a win for me! I love healthy smoothies and that the banana probably makes it so thick and creamy like a real shake. Yum! Great recipe!
