Bacon Wrapped Honey Glazed Meatballs Recipe
Looking out my window seeing dark clouds and rain can only mean one thing, it is officially spring in Tennessee! That means that summer is almost here! The time for swimming, vacations, playing outside, and hosting cookouts is my favorite time of the year. One of my favorite things to make for cookouts is meatballs. There are SO many different ways to you can prepare them and who doesn’t love meatballs right?
Over the Easter weekend my daughter requested that I make meatballs for our family and I was trying to think of a way to make them differently than normal and I figured that the easiest way to make anything better is to wrap it in bacon. It’s true, I promise. And why stop there? Why not drench them in honey first. Are you hungry yet? Well I won’t make you wait any longer, here is how to make them:
Here is how to make my Bacon Wrapped Honey Glazed Meatballs:
You Will Need:
- Precooked Meatballs (I used Italian style)
- Honey
- Pork Rub
- Bacon
- Toothpicks
First, place your meatballs in a microwave safe bowl and defrost them. (You could also make these fresh!) Pour in some honey and mix to coat.
Next, sprinkle on some pork rub and mix to combine. Make sure you meatballs are coated well with honey and seasonings.
Then, cut your bacon strips into quarters and wrap the pieces around your meatballs. Secure with a toothpick and place on a baking pan. Preheat your oven to 350 and bake for 30-40 minutes or until the bacon is crisp. Serve hot and enjoy!
That’s it! This recipe is super simple to make and I suggest you make a bunch because they will get eaten up really quickly. Happy Cooking!
